Via the mobile Weblog bin ich auf ein Gerücht gestossen:
Google soll angeblich in kürze in Großbritanien als Mobilfunk Provider (MVNO) an den Markt gehen, in Zusammenarbeit mit O2.
“We’ve heard from a good source in the mobile industry that Google may be preparing to launch its own branded mobile network in the UK in the next few weeks. If our source is accurate, Google will become a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) via a deal with UK mobile phone company O2.”
Auf SMS Text News wird darüber schon heiß diskutiert. Die Quelle des Gerüchts soll Techkrunch sein.
Sollte wirklich etwas dran sein, kann man nur hoffen, dass sich dadurch mehr tut in Sachen: Datentarife müssen günstiger werden.
